Not only was she proposed to at her idol’s concert, she’s also receiving a personal gift from the star.
Douyin user King Jiujinjin recently attended Chinese actor Ding Yuxi’s concert in Chengdu with her boyfriend.
While the 31-year-old was performing the song Dissipating Dialogue, her boyfriend proposed to her with a gold ring.
“After my boyfriend proposed, I couldn’t hear a single word Yuxi sang… It was our first time attending a concert together and we both prepared proposal gifts for each other. From then on, this gruelling 24-hour round trip became a unique memory shared by both of us,” she wrote.
Yesterday (Aug 17), Yuxi, who is currently starring in the new WeTV Chinese drama The Road To Splendor, attended jewellery brand Lao Feng Xiang’s event where he told the audience he saw King Jiujinjin’s video.
He said he prepared a hui li (returning of gifts) for her boyfriend and bought a gold necklace as the fan’s dowry, arranging for his studio to contact her and mail it to her.
The item Yuxi purchased reportedly costs 32,970 yuan (S$6,200).

He is known to be generous with his fans, often posting videos where he personally packs gifts for them.
On New Years’ Eve this year, Yuxi helped to fund six lucky fans’ travel expenses back home in China.
At a Shanghai event for Lao Feng Xiang in January, he was seen purchasing a few sets of gold jewellery — reportedly for 44,000 yuan — on the spot to give out to fans who came to see him.
In April, he attended Versace Filmmakers’ Dinner in Beijing where he snapped a bracelet from his wrist to give the quartz beads out to fans.
Yuxi gained attention after playing Han Shuo in the 2020 hit Chinese series The Romance of Tiger and Rose.
He went on to star in dramas such as Moonlight (2021) and Love You Seven Times (2023) before shooting to fame with his role as Mu Ziqi in Love Game in Eastern Fantasy (2024).
