Shah Rukh Khan’s KING is one of the much-awaited films of 2026. Not much known about the plot and what the viewers can expect. However, the project has always been in the news because of its casting update. Recently, there were reports suggesting that Deepika Padukone will make a special appearance in the thriller film. Now, director Siddharth Anand has indirectly reacted to the same.
Earlier, reports stated that Deepika Padukone will play Suhana Khan’s mother in King. The actress was allegedly going to have a special cameo, just like she did in Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan (2023). Today, the reports regarding the same has been going viral. Amidst all this, Siddharth Anand shared a tweet that caught everyone’s attention.
On his social media page, Siddharth wrote just one word – False. The moment it went viral, netizens assumed it is about the casting of King. One person wrote, “No deepika ???.” Another commented, “Deepika not part of King is confirmed .” One more user wrote, “No deepika padukone .. pls sid bhai.. ???? bhut repeat ho rhi jodi.. need some fresh pair.. pls ???.”

Well, only Siddharth knows what he is hinting at with this post. But fans are sure that it is about DP’s casting.
Meanwhile, Siddharth and Deepika have worked together in two movies earlier – Pathaan and Fighter. But it looks like we won’t get to see them reunite for King. The SRK and Suhana starrer also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Abhay Verma. The shooting is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2025.
