Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD and later took a break from films after she gave birth to her daughter Dua Padukone Singh on September 8, 2024. Fans are eagerly waiting for the sequel of Kalki 2898 AD. Well, it seems as if Deepika is all set to resume the shoot for the film now and fans are quite excited for the same.
Deepika, who turned a year older on January 5 was wished by the makers of Kalki 2898 AD as they took to their Instagram handle and posted a video which ended with a note, ‘See you soon on the set’. Several fans noticed the caption and started celebrating Deepika’s return to the big screen.

Deepika took some time off from her career after the birth of her daughter and is now all set to return to shooting after becoming another. One user wrote, ‘The Kalki movie is nothing without Deepika’s character’, and another commented saying, ‘When is part 2 coming? Kindly update’. The third user wrote, ‘Sumati mother of KALKI’.
Swapna Dutt, the producer of Kalki 2898 AD revealed that Deepika will be playing the role of a mother in some parts of the sequel as she attended the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Swapna’s sister and co-producer, Priyanka Dutt, revealed that an important part of the sequel, around 30-35 percent, has already been filmed.
Kalki 2898 AD stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani, and Deepika. The film became a super hit as it managed to earn Rs 1200 crores globally.
