Hayley Hasselhoff shared a heartbreaking tribute to her late mom, Pamela Bach, one week after her tragic death by suicide.
“Mom, last night was one of the hardest,” the 32-year-old, whom Bach shared with ex-husband David Hasselhoff, wrote on her Instagram Story Thursday.
“I don’t know if it’s because it’s been a week since your passing or the synchronization of the rain tonight, just like the night of,” Hayley continued, referencing the night she found her mother’s body. “I pray that one day I can find comfort in the sound of rain again, as it’ll symbolize your spirit going to heaven, but for now, all I hear is my heart aching for you.”
She said her “heart is shattered, yet somehow feels whole” knowing her mom “will always be [her] best friend, [her] heart and [her] whole world.”
Hayley reflected on her strong bond with the “Baywatch” actress, who she described as her “biggest supporter.”
“Mornings are the hardest because I would run to my phone to dial you the second I’d wake up, no matter the time, no matter where I was in the world. You were always there,” she wrote.
“This yearning is unlike anything I’ve ever known, but I need you to know that I will love you in every form. I’m choosing to be strong for you to make you proud.”
Hayley vowed that she and her older sister, Taylor Hasselhoff-Fiore, would carry on the “pride” their mother “instilled” in them from a young age.
She also promised that she and Taylor are “staying strong” and “protecting one another,” knowing that “the bond” she taught them to “cherish” will always guide them.
“This unbreakable bond will stay with us forever. We will make you proud, I promise,” she continued.
“‘I love you’ will never be enough because my whole heart is yours, and it always will be. I love you my beautiful, beautiful mama until the end of time,” she concluded the statement.
The upload came just hours after Taylor, 34, shared her own statement about the unthinkable tragedy.
“I’d do anything in the world to hug you again, my forever angel,” Taylor wrote on her Instagram Story Wednesday night.
“You are my best friend, my whole heart, my everything,” she continued. “I promise to make you proud & celebrate you every day.”
Like Hayley, Taylor also promised to pass on her mother’s legacy and remain close to her sister.
“Mama I love you so much, the pain is unbearable but I will be strong for you & hold onto your memory until we meet again,” she concluded.
Bach was found deceased in her Los Angeles home on March 5. She died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
One of Bach’s neighbors later told the Daily Mail that Hayley was the one who found her body.
“She was hysterical, yelling, screaming, crying on the street,” Hiromi Osiecki recalled, noting that Hayley was going in and out of the house with first responders.
“A little later, she came out with police. I heard her crying, and somebody was trying to comfort her,” Osiecki continued.
Osiecki said she recognized Hayley because she used to live with her mother.
Bach did not leave a suicide note or have a will at the time of her death. She was 62.
