Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor has landed in trouble online for his controversial remarks on polygamy. Recently, Danish appeared on television with his wife, actress Ayeza Khan. It was an Eid special show, ‘Mahfil E Ramadan,’ where Taimoor’s recent comment received severe backlash from fans and netizens. So what exactly did Danish say and what made him say?
While sharing personal insights and giving guidance to the audience, Danish talked about men’s right to marry up to four times.
On the show, Danish Taimoor said, “Mujhe Allah ne ijazat di hai 4 shadioun ki, main kar nahi raha hun woh alag baat hai, lekin yeh ijazat mujhe Allah ne di hui hai, woh mujhse koi cheen nahi sakta hai (Allah has given me permission to marry 4 times. But I am not marrying. However, Allah has given me the permission and nobody can take that away from me.
Danish added that he didn’t choose to marry more than once because of his love for his wife, Ayeza Khan. The actor said, “Filhal jo hai inhi ke saath guzaar raha hun.” The statement didn’t sit well with people online who have slammed Danish.
