While not in the running for the 2026 Golden Globes, “Heated Rivalry” stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams were certainly the names on everyone’s lips.
Storrie, 25, arrived on the red carpet, styling his curly locks into a combed-out mullet with a perhaps unlikely inspiration.
According to GQ, who spoke with hairstylist Candice Birns, Storrie looked to the late Kurt Cobain for inspiration.
Birns said she came across a photo of Cobain’s 1986 mugshot on her social media feed — and the wheels started turning.
“I started looking for Patrick Swayze in ‘Point Break,’ and then I pulled up an old photo of the Beatles, like circa ’67 era, and I was like, ‘OK, if the three of these had a baby, this could be your hair,’” Birns told the publication.
Described as a “mod mullet,” she used curl cream, hair oil and mouse pomade to “give the hair a bit of grit and grease.”
As for the brows, the stylist revealed that she used Milk Makeup’s Kush Brow Lamination Gel ($24) to keep everything in place — a favorite of stars like Hailey Bieber as well.
Storrie, who was a virtual unknown before the steamy hockey drama became an overnight phenom, slipped into a Saint Laurent tuxedo and Tiffany & Co. diamond jewelry.
We think there will be many more rockstar red carpet moments for the actor.
