Govinda and Chunky Panday made some interesting revelations when they appeared on Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show. The actors were joined by Shakti Kapoor for the fun episode. The trio talked about their movies, how things used to work back then and their friendship. It was pure nostalgia filled with hilarious anecdotes the actors shared with everyone.
When Chunky Panday and Govina were paid less than a monkey
In the episode, Chunky Panday made a starting revelation about David Dhawan’s film Aankhen. Govinda and Chunky worked in the movie together and the audience enjoyed it. Along with the duo, the aciton-comedy had another leading star—a monkey. But what’s interesting is that the monkey was paid more money than the two.
On Kapil Sharma’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, Shakti Kapoor said, “We did this film together where these two were the heroes. Actually, no, there were three heroes. Govinda, Chunky, and a monkey. Ask them.” To this Chuky agreed and said the monkey was paid more money than the actors. Govinda also agreed to the statement. However, Kapoor stated that they didn’t get paid and the monkey was given a room in Mumbai’s Sun and Sand hotel.
“Whenever David would call for the monkey, Chunky would show up. Whenever he called for Chunky, the monkey would show up,” revealed Shakti Kapoor. Further in this entertainment news, another highlight of the episode of Govinda and Krushna Abhishek’s reunion. The mama-bhanja hugged each other tightly and even made the audience laugh with their jokes.
On the work front, Govinda will reunite with Akshay Kumar for the comedy film Bhagam Bhag 2. The sequel was recently confirmed. On the other hand, Chunky Panday will star in Housefull 5, which also features Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles.
