Chris Noth weighed in on his character Mr. Big’s fate five years after his shocking death on And Just Like That.

While attending the Blue Jacket Fashion Show in New York City on Wednesday, February 4, Noth, 71, told the Daily Mail he felt “very good” about his limited time on the Sex and the City spinoff.

“I think I was very lucky,” he quipped, adding that he and former costar John Corbett are still “very close friends.”

When asked about his recent comments about Sarah Jessica Parker, the actor said he had nothing more to add.

Max’s attempt to revive Sex and the City as And Just Like That has resulted in plenty of headlines. Sex and the City, which premiered in 1998, focused on Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and her dating life in New York alongside her friends Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall). Noth played Mr. Big, a love interest of Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), on the original Sex and the City from 1998 to 2004. He appeared in both of the franchise’s movies, but when And Just Like That debuted in 2021, Mr. Big was killed off in an unexpected twist during the first episode. (He suffered a heart attack while riding a Peloton bike.)

And Just Like That — which saw Parker returning to her iconic role alongside original costars Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon — ended in 2025 after three seasons.

Noth raised eyebrows last month when he replied to a shady comment about Parker, 60, who received the Carol Burnett Award at a special ceremony ahead of the 2026 Golden Globes.

“F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!” Noth captioned an Instagram photo of himself in the gym on January 9.

When one social media user commented, “You mean f*** sjp & her award right? Lol,” Noth wrote back, “Right.”

The comment quickly raised eyebrows, and Noth offered an explanation in a separate Instagram post shared days later.

“My off the cuff slightly sarcastic response to a comment on the internet seems to have caused a tempest in a teapot. It is not news,” he wrote on January 14. “It is not worth all this discussion. It is a waste of time in a world where there are more important things to worry about.”

Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth gave viewers one of the most iconic TV romances ever as Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big, respectively, on Sex and the City. The two were reportedly extremely close friends off screen for many years, with Noth publicly coming to Parker’s defense when she fell out with their Sex and […]

Noth continued to shed light on where he stands with Parker now during an episode of the “Really Famous With Kara Mayer Robinson” podcast, claiming their friendship fizzled out after he was accused of sexual assault in 2021.

“We’re not friends. I think that’s pretty obvious,” he said last month, reflecting on how his former costars reacted to the allegations. “The statement that they put out — which was nothing more than brand management, really — I don’t know, it was sad, it was disappointing, it was surprising. Because you need to call me and hear my side of this. You’ve known me for many years, and we’ve worked [together] for many years.”

Noth denied the accusations against him at the time, but Parker, Nixon, 59, and Davis, 60, distanced themselves from the actor.

“You know where people stand and you know who your real friends are and who they’re not. That’s important to know,” he claimed on the podcast. “I just know if it had been on the other foot, I wouldn’t have done that. … That was hurtful, and it really affected everything.”
