Chris Hemsworth has injured himself during a family surfing trip in Fiji.

The Thor actor, 42, showed off a nasty gash to his right leg in a photo shared to social media on Wednesday.

Also featured in the post were a series of pictures with Chris’ wife, Elsa Pataky, and their children: 11-year-old twin boys, Sasha and Tristan, and lookalike daughter India.

Along on the trip were Chris’s brothers Luke and Liam, and their 71-year-old father, Craig Hemsworth.

One picture captured a gorgeous family moment where the Limitless star can be seen sharing a joke with India, 13, as they head into the water with their surfboards.

He also shared several affectionate pictures with Elsa, 49, including one where the high-profile couple don Santa hats.

Wearing a revealing bikini, Elsa can be seen resting on her hunky husband’s shoulder in the photo.

Another image captures the pair in a holiday mood as they relax on a beach at sundown alongside family and friends.

Chris also showed off his prowess in the water in a series of surfing snaps.

He completed his gallery with a photo of himself posing with his brothers and his dad on a beach against a spectacular sunset.

It comes after Chris put split rumours to rest after revealing intimate details about his 15-year marriage to his Spanish-born actress wife.

The Aussie star said that the secret to his decade-and-a-half-long relationship was ‘having fun’.

Speaking on Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, Chris said he shared ‘an adventurous spirit’ with his wife and that ‘making time for one another’ was a key factor behind their successful marriage.

‘The complicated times have been when it’s been all work, all kids, and all of a sudden the “us” in the relationship is … sort of non-existent, you’re just managing a household or the work family schedule,’ he confessed.

He added that ‘removing ourselves from all of that and just having time for the two of us and making space for each other’ helped them get to where they are today, as well as ‘making each other laugh’.

‘There’s always that spark, that attraction, but what it comes down to is friendship and companionship in the end.’

Despite never-ending split speculation, Chris and Elsa put on a loved-up display in November at an intimate screening of the new Disney+ documentary, A Road to Remember.

The reunion marked the couple’s first joint red carpet appearance in months.

Produced by National Geographic, the film chronicles Crag Hemsworth’s battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s.

Sharing the snaps to Instagram, Chris included a tribute to his parents in the post, who co-starred alongside him in the new film.

‘Surreal experience spending time with family and friends last night at a special screening…,’ Chris wrote alongside his post.

‘This project was unlike anything I’ve been a part of for a whole host of reasons and I’m incredibly proud of it.

‘Very thankful to everyone who poured into it and especially grateful to my parents, Craig and Leonie, who really put themselves out there with such vulnerability and grace.’
