One follower dubbed it ‘the announcement of THE YEAR!!!’ among many other messages of congratulations.
‘The fam just keeps growing. This is the best news ever and what a lucky bubba to have two amazing mummas,’ wrote one fan.
Brittany Higgins also offered her well-wishes to the mums-to-be, calling it, ‘most marvellous news I’ve heard in a long while.
‘Congratulations to the both of you!’ added the former Liberal staffer.
Other big names weighed in, including Bindi Irwin.
‘CONGRATULATIONS!!! Such wonderful news!’ wrote the Wildlife Warrior.
‘YAY!!’ added Simone Holznagel.
Aside from their pregnancy news, the couple also revealed that their ‘satirical picture book for adults’ had been picked up by publisher University Of Queensland Press (UQP).

The book is called If Queers Weren’t Meant To Have Kids and Narelda took to Instagram, also on Thursday, to share UQPs announcement about the upcoming book.
The statement said that the book contains ‘a series of double-page spreads that all open with the question “if queers weren’t meant to have kids.”
‘The answers include: ‘why do lesbians nest after one week,’ and ‘why are hot gays called daddies.’
Narelda and Karina added in the statement that they were not going to let ‘homophobes’ steal their ‘baby joy.’
Like all expectant queer parents we are prepared for homophobic backlash, but there’s no way the naysayers are going to ruin our baby joy,’ they said.
‘So, we’ve hatched a plan to show just how natural it is for queers to have kids. Our adult picture book is a celebration of love and chosen family.’
The pair were married in a fun-filled ceremony in Sydney in early August, just 18 months after they went on their first date.
Jacobs looked to be having an absolute ball in images shared to Instagram on while surrounded by friends, family and famous guests.
