A swanky resort on the Aegean Sea that has played host to famous fans including Gigi Hadid, Lindsay Lohan, Naomi Campbell and Leonardo DiCaprio has been forced to shutter just as American visitors were set to fly over for summer vacations.

Scorpios Bodrum — owned but not operated by the private members club Soho House, which has 50 locations around the globe — has had to temporarily close following a fallout with its local business partner.

In a statement, the club, which opened two years ago, alleged Maxx Royal “sought to change the terms of our commercial agreement. We considered the proposed changes unacceptable and declined. We were then told that if we did not agree, we would face the consequences.”

As a result, the club claimed, the front entrance and check-in area were bulldozed, limiting guest access. Delivery hours were reduced to a one-hour window from Tuesday to Thursday, compromising health and safety standards, and guest parking was removed.

An on-call ambulance and medical personnel were allegedly restricted from accessing Scorpios Bodrum, and the resort’s license was cut from 1 a.m. to midnight even though “it was not the result of noise complaints.”

An updated statement on Scorpios Bodrum Instagram account claimed it been forced to temporarily close “following a series of restrictions imposed by our local business partner, Maxx Royal, that make it impossible for us to operate in accordance wth the standards values and responsibilities that define Scorpios.”

“This was not a decision we wanted to make, but one we were left with no choice but to take.”

The resort added: “We sincerely hope this will not result in the permanent closer of Scorpios Bodrum.”
