Carrie Bickmore was every inch the proud mother as she stepped out at the Australian of the Year Awards in Canberra on Sunday.
The former host of The Project took her teenage son, Oliver, as her date – and the 18-year-old was all grown up as he posed alongside his television star mum.
Carrie, 45, opted for a fitted black gown that sat close to her figure and was accented by a silver brooch.
She chose a warm-toned makeup look including a peachy lipstick and wore her blonde hair swept off her face.
Ollie, meanwhile, was dapper in a black suit worn with a white dress shirt and skinny tie.
The TV star shared Ollie with her late husband Greg Lange, who tragically died of brain cancer in 2010.

The Australian of the Year Awards has recognised Carrie for her work in brain cancer research funding.
Bickmore has raised more than $27 million for brain cancer research since 2015.
She didn’t win the top gong at Sunday night’s ceremony, but has been named Victoria’s Australian of the Year.
After watching her late husband Greg battle brain cancer, Bickmore dedicated her life to raising funds for research via her charity drives.
Speaking to The Australian Women’s Weekly, Carrie said her late husband Greg will always be an integral part of her family’s lives.
‘Anyone who has ever lost someone will tell you that they may not physically be there but they’ll stay in your life forever,’ she explained.
‘And Ollie [son Oliver] is so like him in so many ways. I often think, “God, I wish Greg was here so I could ask him how the hell to parent. Surely he’d have some insight”.’
She added: ‘You always bring your past with you into your future and that’s just the reality, that’s life.’
Carrie said she has come to accept that nothing in her family life will ever be ‘straightforward’ since Greg’s death, but she has made peace with that, as her mother and father brought her up to never aim for perfection.

Greg tragically passed away in December 2010 at age 35 from a 10-year battle with brain cancer.
Talking to Anh Do on his ABC series Anh’s Brush With Fame, Carrie revealed Greg’s diagnosis in 2001 shattered her world.
‘It was about a year after we moved to Melbourne. I think I was still 21 or 22 and he was about 25. He had a seizure at home and one thing led to another and they diagnosed him with a brain tumour,’ she tearfully explained.
‘It was just… in your 20s that is just the last thing that you can ever… I didn’t even really know anyone that had cancer, I didn’t know anything about brain cancer, neither did he.
‘It completely threw everything we knew, everything we had planned, everything we thought… it just threw everything on its head.’
Carrie also has two daughters, Evie, 10, and Adelaide, seven, with her former partner Chris Walker.
The pair ended their relationship at the start of 2022 after 11 years together.
Carrie announced her split from Chris in an Instagram post in January 2022, saying they were focusing on co-parenting their children.
‘It’s with immense sadness Chris and I have decided to separate. While this is a tough time, our focus is on supporting our children,’ Carrie wrote.
