Candace Cameron Bure is going off the grid this holiday season.

“Guys, I’m gonna take a social break but it may not be for a few more days,” Cameron Bure, 49, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Saturday, December 21. “I’m so darn excited to be home.”

Cameron Bure has been filming the third installment in her Great American Media series Home Sweet Christmas across the pond with Cameron Mathison.

“I’ve never filmed in Europe before, so it is very exciting,” Cameron Bure exclusively told Us Weekly last month. “Sam and Sophie will take a European Christmas vacation to celebrate their first anniversary. They’ll stroll through the picturesque Christmas markets, castles and take in the beauty of Christmas in a way that only Europe has to offer.”

Candace Cameron Bure made her movie debut on the Great American Family television network this holiday season — and she could not be more thrilled over the partnership. “I love that we are bringing stories of faith,” the actress, 48, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, November 21, while promoting her Great American Christmas movies. Cameron Bure and Mathison, 56, starred as childhood friends Sophie and Sam, who reunited years later when they both inherited a farm in 2024’s Home Sweet Christmas. They reprised their roles in this year’s Another Sweet Christmas, with A Sweet Christmas Anniversary set for release in 2026.

Cameron Bure is a major fan of the holiday season, even having made dozens of Christmas-themed movies for Hallmark and Great American Family.

“It’s the holiday I look forward to most. I like to make it as peaceful and simple as possible and really make Christmas about connecting with my family and friends,” she told Us in her cover story published earlier this month. “The older I get, I just want to have deep, meaningful moments. Val [Bure, my husband] always makes a beautiful Christmas Eve dinner for us and then we go to church.”

According to Cameron Bure, her strong Christian faith ties into her festive celebrations.

“Jesus being born … is the foundation of it, which is why we read the Bible the morning of Christmas to remind ourselves what we’re actually celebrating,” she explained. “Jesus gave us the gift of salvation. Those are beautiful things.”

Throughout her years in the spotlight, Cameron Bure has been outspoken about her religious beliefs.

The actress starred in 10 holiday films for Hallmark Channel during her 13 years with the network, earning her the title of “Queen of Christmas” from viewers and critics alike. She also helmed Hallmark […]

“The Bible says to go out into the world and share the good news with others, to share the gospel,” she told Us. “To deny that in any part of my life would be denying the very thing that I’m so appreciative of, which is Jesus. I cannot separate those two things, and so I walk boldly in that. Throughout that process, sometimes you take hits and people don’t like you for it, but this is my life. I get to make my choices.”

Cameron Bure’s former Full House sister Jodie Sweetin recently opened up about how the actress’ beliefs differ from her own.

“Candace’s faith, to be quite honest, has always been at the forefront for her, and I have zero problem with that,” Sweetin, 43, said on the Tuesday, December 16, episode of “The Moment” podcast. “I have no problem with religion if it brings you peace and happiness, not necessarily saying that her brand of religion is not necessarily peace and happiness. I don’t really know.”
