News that the Pussycat Dolls have canceled their North American shows tour amid poor ticket sale isn’t exactly sending shockwaves through the music biz, we’re told.

In fact, insiders tell Page Six it was more of a surprise to learn that the “Don’t Cha” band was actually going on tour in the first place.

When we broke the news in March that the sultry singers would be reuniting and going on the road for a world tour, music industry insiders seemed to have one collective question: “Why?”

After all, they pointed out, the band had been out of the spotlight since they disbanded 16 years ago, and it had been even longer since they released their sophomore — and final — album, “Domination.”
The Pussycat Dolls going on a world tour shocked industry insiders more than them canceling shows, says our source.

The tour only included three Pussycat Dolls: Kimberly Wyatt, Nicole Scherzinger, and Ashley Roberts.

A source familiar with their ticket sales described them as a “low-ticket audience brand,” meaning prices for stubs would need to be kept low to attract enough people to fill an arena.

“When we announced the PCD Forever Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world,” the group said in a statement. “After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North American dates,” they said.

Some insiders thought they should’ve taken an honest look before they decided to go back on the road.
Our source put it bluntly, “No one f–king cares about Pussycat Dolls. It was inevitable that tour would get canceled,” they said.

The women are still scheduled to perform at the Outloud Musical Festival for WeHo Pride in Los Angeles on June 6, they confirmed.

PCD aren’t the only Live Nation musical act who have had to pull out due to low-ticket sales, but others have not admitted it. Post Malone, Megan Trainor and Zayn Malik have all either canceled or paused their upcoming tours due to “blue dot fever,” as another music insider revealed to Page Six Hollywood, referring to a case of too many available seats on Ticketmaster. (Empty seats are represented by blue dots on the platform).

A rep for the Pussycat Dolls did not get back to us.
