Bruno Mars has announced an extensive world tour, just a day after the pop superstar officially announced his first solo album in a decade.
Mars is embarking on his Romantic Tour this spring for a seven-month international trek that will take him across the U.S. and Canada, Europe and the U.K. He will kick off the tour in Las Vegas on April 10 and finish it at BC Place in Vancouver on Oct. 14. He’s playing two shows in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3, and at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Aug. 21 and Aug. 22.
Joining him on the road as opening acts will be Anderson .Paak for a DJ set as DJ Pee . Wee, as well as R&B stars Raye, Victoria Monét and Leon Thomas, the latter of whom is currently up for best new artist and album of the year at this year’s Grammy Awards.
Fans looking to buy tickets during the pre-sale must sign up by 10 a.m. PST on Jan. 12, and remaining tickets not sold during the pre-sale will go on sale on Jan. 15 at 12 p.m. local time. Ticket signup and a full list of tour dates is available on Mars’ website.
Mars confirmed Wednesday that he would drop his fourth The Romantic on Feb. 27. The album’s first single is set to release on Friday.
While Mars hasn’t released a solo album or embarked on a headlining tour in 10 years, he’s hardly been dormant as an artist. Since releasing 24K Magic and touring that album in 2016, he had a Las Vegas residency and released his An Evening With Silk Sonic collaboration with Anderson .Paak, which also featured a Vegas residency of its own. He also was the opening artist to perform at the Intuit Dome.
Aside from his albums, Mars was also featured on global smash hits “Die With A Smile” with Lady Gaga and “APT” with Rosé, the latter of which is currently up for record and song of the year at the upcoming Grammy Awards.
