Brittany Mahomes is doing “incredible” nearly two years after breaking her back.
The 30-year-old reposted a recovery update from her trainer Kirsty Rae via Instagram Stories on Monday.
“Almost a year and a half, rehabbing a broken back meant severe pain and limited movement,” Rae wrote alongside a video of Mahomes working out.
She gushed that Patrick Mahomes’ wife is “now almost a year postpartum and progressively getting stronger every week.”
Rae called Brittany’s progress “proof that the body is capable of incredible things when you meet it with patience and intentional training.
She concluded, “So proud of you @brittanylynne 🤍.”
Brittany revealed her injury to her followers in March 2024, one year after giving birth to son Bronze, now 3.
“Just your daily reminder: Once you have kids please take care of your pelvic floor. Seriously,” Brittany, who is also the mother of daughter Sterling, 4, and daughter Golden, 11 months, wrote on her Story at the time.
She signed off as “a girl with a fractured back 🙂.”
She did not elaborate on how the injury occurred.
Two months later, Brittany told E! News that her “back [was] no longer broken.”
She gushed, “I’m doing great. I’m living my best life. … I’m staying on top of my health. Being active and healthy for my kids and my dogs is super important to me.”
Brittany’s husband is currently navigating an injury of his own after tearing his ACL in a Kansas City Chiefs game last month.
Patrick, 30, subsequently underwent surgery, and Coach Andy Reid recently confirmed the quarterback has since been “spending a lot of hours” in rehab.
The three-time Super Bowl winner, who married Brittany in March 2022, is “really attacking” his recovery.
