Britney Spears revealed Thursday evening that she was forced to evacuate from her mansion ahead of rapidly advancing fires engulfing parts of Los Angeles.

The 43-year-old singer took to her Instagram account to share the news in her caption, which she posted alongside a bizarre video focused on a doll’s feet.

Britney said she spent ‘four hours’ on the road driving to a hotel, though she didn’t clarify if she was swept up in traffic with other evacuating residents.

Some fans had wondered with the former pop superstar had remained silent during LA’s frightening fires — which have affected areas including Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Altadena, Pasadena, the Hollywood Hills and more — but she revealed that she had been without power for days.

Britney joins a long list of stars in tony communities throughout Los Angeles who have been forced to evacuate, with many losing their homes to the blaze.

‘I hope you are all doing OK!!!’ Britney began her caption. ‘I had to evacuate my home and I’m driving 4 hours to a hotel!!!’

Britney also referenced the video she posted, which featured closeup views of a doll’s feet with pink stilettos decorated with what were meant to be jewels, pearls and gold beads, along with pink satin ribbons wrapped around the doll’s ankles.

‘I’m posting these adorable shoes to life people’s spirits!!!’ she said, before acknowledging that many of her fans may not be checking their phones at the moment if they live in areas threatened by LA’s multiple fires.

Britney admitted that she hadn’t been reacting to the fires because she was without electricity to charge her phone for the ‘past two days.’

‘I pray you’re all doing well and I send my love [red rose emoji]!!!’ she wrote to concluded her post.

Britney evacuated from her home in Hidden Hills, California, a small city — as well as a gated community — located just to the northeast of Los Angeles.

It borders the City of Angels and another LA County city popular with celebrities, Calabasas, which has been home to several members of the Kardashian–Jenner clan over the years.

Despite the closeness of the devastating fires to her home, Britney had refrained from posting about the natural disaster until Thursday night, though fans couldn’t express their concerns, as she has turned off comments on her Instagram posts.

Her last posts had been from Tuesday, when she shared a flurry of photos of herself in a sizzling red off-the-shoulder dress.

Numerous celebrities have been forced to evacuate ahead of the flames, and many of them have lost their homes to the blaze.

Among those whose homes were burned to the ground was Britney’s friend Paris Hilton, who revealed that she had seen her home in Malibu burn to the ground in live television news footage.

Photos taken Thursday revealed that the beach house is now nothing more than rubble.

Since the start of the fires, California Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency and FEMA approved a Fire Management Assistance Grant to provide critical resources for fire suppression efforts.

At least six people have been killed due to the inferno, which began rapidly spreading from Pacific Palisades to surrounding suburbs on Tuesday as a windstorm sometimes reaching up to 100 mph carried embers and debris in all directions.

Firefighters valiantly battled the blaze, but their efforts were hampered as they had difficult getting water up to the hilly neighborhood.

According to LAist, the demand for water during the firefight was four times usual levels, which made it impossible to refill water tanks quickly enough to increase water pressure, even though the water never ran out.

On Thursday, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass addressed criticism that fire hydrants rans dry by insisting they were filled, but simply were not designed to cope with a disaster of this scale.

Although water supplies faltered due to burst pipes and extreme demand, including water that was diverted elsewhere, the fire was fueled by dry vegetation and extreme winds.

It’s unclear if more water would have had much of an impact on the blaze, as burning embers flew miles from their origins after being carried by the hurricane-force winds, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Nearly 180,000 people currently live in areas under evacuation orders, and hundreds of thousands in the LA area have been without people due to the destruction and high winds.
