Britney Spears “never gave up hope” on reconciling with her estranged son Jayden James Federline, a source exclusively tells Page Six.
“It made her so happy to spend one-on-one time together and just hang out,” the insider tells us after the 18-year-old reunited with his mom.
Jayden has recently been visiting with his mother in California after moving to Hawaii with his brother, Sean Preston Federline, 19, and their father, Kevin Federline, in August 2023.
The former backup dancer, 46, relocated with his family to the Aloha State after his wife, Victoria Prince, got a job as a volleyball coach at her alma mater, the University of Hawaii.
The insider tells Page Six that Spears’ bonding time with Jayden “really was a dream come true for her.”
“Despite being apart for such a long time, Britney has never stopped loving her boys and she never gave up hope on a reconciliation with them,” the source says.
They add that Spears’ reunion with Jayden has been “wonderful” and the pop star is “hopeful their bond will continue to grow and she’ll be able to spend more time together with both of her boys.”
“Seeing Jayden for the first time in a really long time was wonderful for Britney,” our source continues.
The 42-year-old Grammy winner “spent a lot of time with him talking and laughing. It was really nice for Britney to enjoy quality time with her son.”
Page Six has reached out to Spears’ rep and Kevin’s attorney for comment.
Spears’ reunion with Jayden came six months after news broke that he and Preston had called the singer on Mother’s Day, which Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, described as “a good sign.”
“Obviously a reconciliation/reunification is somewhat complex and can be a process that takes some time,” Kaplan told Page Six in June.
Kaplan added that Kevin — who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007 — “supports the boys having a relationship with their mother.”
