Brian Hickerson and his brother, Zach Hickerson, were at the scene of Hayden Panettiere’s death on Sunday, Page Six can confirm.

The siblings were at Judson Mill Lofts, the South Carolina apartment complex where the “Heroes” alum went into cardiac arrest and died, according to the Greenville Police Department’s heavily redacted report obtained by Page Six Tuesday.

Zach, according to responding officer Matthew Bryan, was “very emotional” while emergency medical services professionals “were working on [Panettiere].”

Brian, meanwhile, “did not become emotional” until Panettiere was officially declared dead.

Zach referred to Panettiere as his “brother’s girlfriend.”

Brian, per the report, showed police a “bag of medication” that Panettiere was taking at the time of her death.

However, the names of the multiple medications were redacted in the report.

Bryan, who spoke to both brothers, said that when he arrived on the scene he “observed multiple EMS and Firemen performing CPR on a white female patient who appeared to be unresponsive.”

“The patient did not seem to have any obvious physical reasons to be unresponsive,” the officer added.

He also recalled that EMS “attempted to perform life-saving methods for an extended amount of time before they called a time of death” at 2:31 p.m.

Additionally, Bryan said the courtesy officer of Judson Mill Lofts told him he has “CCTV footage” of Panettiere and the Hickerson brothers “coming and going” from the property.

Bryan confirmed his body-worn camera was active on the scene.

Page Six previously confirmed via 911 dispatch audio that Panettiere suffered an apparent “overdose” before being pronounced dead at the apartment complex. Narcan was found at the scene, per TMZ.

A cause of death has not been officially determined. Page Six reported the autopsy showed Panettiere had no “signs of trauma” at the time of death.

Brian, who was first linked to Panettiere in 2018 and recently admitted to “abusing her,” flew from Los Angeles to South Carolina with the “Nashville” star on Saturday.

An insider told Page Six that Panettiere kept her friends “in the dark” about reconnecting with Brian before she died.

“If Brian was back in her life, then it was something she was hiding because she wasn’t speaking about it with many of her friends,” a source told us on Tuesday.

Panettiere and Brian had a tumultuous, on-and-off relationship that included multiple alleged incidents of domestic violence.

However, the pair sparked reconciliation rumors after they were spotted together at the Los Angeles International Airport in March 2026, with Brian accompanying the “Ice Princess” star as she walked on crutches.

Brian has not publicly responded to Panettiere’s death.
