Plan B Europe, the London-based branch of Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner’s production outfit, has strengthened its team with two key hires.
Part of Mediawan since 2022, Plan B Entertainment has confirmed the appointments of Maria Fleischer as executive producer and Charlie Silver as development producer “to support the development and production of projects in the U.K. and across Europe.”
Recent films and TV shows from Plan B include F1: The Movie, Adolescence, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Women Talking, and Nickel Boys.
Launched in 2025, Plan B Europe is headed by Ed Macdonald, who said: “As we continue to grow our distinctive slate in the U.K. and across Europe, Maria and Charlie are two exceptional additions. With their sharp editorial instincts and key relationships, I am absolutely thrilled to be welcoming them to the Plan B family.”
Fleischer started her career at Origin Pictures before working for Fox Searchlight, in their U.K. development and production team. She then became head of development at DNA Films and TV, primarily working across the feature slate but chiefly building a TV slate under an FX overall deal, including a series adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go. More recently, she has been at Sony Pictures Television International as vp, original development, building a TV slate for the Internal Studio.
Silver has spent the past eight years at Tessa Ross’ House Productions, where he has developed projects across film and TV. On the television side, this includes James Graham’s Sherwood for the BBC and Stephen Butchard’s The Good Mothers for Disney+/Hulu. In film, he has worked across Andrea Arnold’s Bird and Danny Boyle’s Jack O’Connell and Guy Pearce-starring Ink, which is currently in post-production.
