Reinvent your beauty routine — and maybe save yourself some time.
On Tuesday, Jones Road Beauty dropped its first-ever eyeshadow sticks, which founder Bobbi Brown calls “so easy” to apply. In nine universally flattering neutral shades, the creamy formula is the latest from the five-year-old brand that’s changing how makeup is worn — and how it fits into your life.
While a few shimmery shades were released in the holiday kits, the new eyeshadow sticks have a sparkle-free, velvety finish, and the colors range from bone to smoky brown. (They also layer well with Just a Sec, the brand’s luminous cushiony pot shadows.)
Highly pigmented yet super blendable, the new sticks are clean formulations made with vitamin E and soybean oil, which keeps lids supple.
The makeup magnate is still an artist at heart, and (as a mother of three and now, a grandma, too), she creates her products with busy women in mind, often using her fingers to apply formulas like the now-legendary Miracle Balm.
“Makeup should fit into your life, not the other way around. This is a one swipe and go product — even if you’re doing it in the car,” Brown tells us of the new eyeshadows.
Early reviews are already raving about them too, with devotees leaving feedback like, “Perfect formula [that] goes on smoothly and can be layered.”
But that’s not all that’s new at Jones Road; last week, the brand released bottles of En Route, its first evening fragrance, which was inspired by Brown’s glamorous aunt Alice.
A nostalgic yet thoroughly modern nod to classic floral-musk perfumes, En Route is the third Jones Road scent, following Shower and BKLN, two light, daytime options. The brand calls the latest one “sexy, yet grounded.”
En Route is a minimalist, clean version of your party and date-night scent, with notes of tonka musk, jasmine, ylang ylang and lily. Brand fans are already in love, calling it “a delightful surprise,” and a “beautiful floral fragrance with a hint of musk.”
If you appreciate heady perfumes — but can’t wear them yourself for fear of headache or just being too much — En Route’s for you. (And, at $46, it comes at an accessible price point, too.)
When it first debuted in the Mini Frangrance Trio, Brown told us that the perfume is what you wear en route to somewhere special; however, we find it soft enough to wear daily as well.
Another thing to love about it? It’s evocative and endearing, thanks to its retro inspo. But don’t take our word for it — grab a bottle for yourself!
