Anna Kendrick buddied up to her “Another Simple Favor” co-star Blake Lively after they avoided each other at the movie’s SXSW premiere.
The actresses posed for pictures together at a London photocall on Tuesday.
For the promotional event at the Corinthia London hotel, Kendrick, 39, paired a bright red vest with a matching skirt and sparkly gold pumps. She styled her hair in voluminous waves.
Meanwhile, Lively, 37, wore a black cardigan with gold trim, black skirt, tights and knee-high boots. She, too, sported loose waves, which she tied back using preppy accessories.
The duo smiled as they struck various poses in front of the London Eye. At one point, photographers caught the women having an apparently lighthearted chat.
They were later joined by other members of the cast and crew for a few group shots.
The seemingly friendly exchange comes a little over a month after Kendrick shaded Lively at SXSW.
When a red carpet reporter at the event asked Kendrick how she felt about reuniting with Lively for the sequel to 2018’s “A Simple Favor,” the former flashed an awkward smile and said, “Oh, you know …” as she walked away.
By contrast, when the latter was asked the same question, she gushed that it was “the best” and she was “so happy.”
The pair appeared cordial while snapping pictures with director Paul Feig and others but did not take any solo shots together.
They also sat apart from each other for the film’s screening.
Lively is in the midst of a very public and polarizing legal battle with her “It Ends With Us” co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, and fans seem to think Kendrick is on Baldoni’s side.
While presenting the award for best director at the 2025 BAFTA Awards in February, the “Pitch Perfect” star took a moment to praise directors. (Baldoni was not nominated, and she did not name him.)
“We all have huge respect for directors. It’s one of the most exhilarating and exhausting jobs in the world, Kendrick told the audience at the star-studded gathering.
“It’s juggling a million decisions, answering endless questions and somehow still making sure that the story shines through.”
In December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, 41, alleging that he sexually harassed her on the set of the movie and then orchestrated a smear campaign against her, all of which he denied.
The following month, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against the “Gossip Girl” star, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane.
Their trial is set to begin in March 2026.
