“Big Brother” alum Ashley Hollis revealed she tried to bury the hatchet with Mickey Lee in their last texts before her co-star’s sudden death on Thursday.

In a now-deleted post shared to her Instagram on Friday, Hollis revealed a screenshot of her text exchange with Lee, which was dated Dec. 7.

“I wanted to reach out to you! I didn’t really get to see you this weekend plussss I feel like a lot of people [redacted],” Hollis’ text reads, per TMZ.

“I didn’t really wanna approach it in public with fans around and stuff! But I wanted to reach out because I honestly don’t like the way things have transpired between us and I did really care about you in the house.”

“I don’t want beef [with you] and I don’t want the two black girls to be pit against each other,” she continued. “I don’t like that! So, I wanted to be the bigger person and reach out to squash the [beef].”

After getting some angry comments from fans, Hollis, 25, deleted the post. Though, she took to X to explain that she shared the message to show the two stars weren’t enemies despite their portrayal on the show.

“I posted that because y’all continue to bash me saying I never liked mickey but that’s a lie… I had nothing to gain from reaching out to her a few weeks ago, but peace of mind and a hope for rekindling. I can’t believe Mickey is really gone…” she wrote.

As “Big Brother” fans may recall, after the show ended, Lee said she felt like she was the only “traditional black woman” who had been cast on Season 27.

“I do believe that Ashley is African American as well, but we do come from different backgrounds. When I say traditional Black girl, I mean the ones that people always stereotype,” she shared.

The comment clearly rubbed Hollis the wrong way as she responded by sharing videos of her parents.

However, it appeared that the two were able to make up in the weeks before Lee’s death.

On Friday, Lee’s family announced the reality star died on Christmas after suffering multiple cardiac arrests. She was 35 years old.

“With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her transition on Christmas in the early evening,” the statement began.

“Mickey captured the hearts of audiences nationwide through her appearance on ‘Big Brother,’ where her authenticity, strength and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike,” the message continued.

“She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she formed on and offscreen.”

They closed sending “deepest gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, love and support,” and asked for “privacy during this critical time of bereavement” as they mourn their “tremendous loss.”
