Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities are reading — whether it’s a timeless classic or the buzzy bestseller they can’t put down? Welcome to Page-Turners, where stars reveal the books that keep them hooked, inspired and up all night. Warning: your TBR pile is about to get a lot longer.

Despite writing thrillers that keep readers on the edge of their seat, Riley Sager has to be horizontal while taking in his favorite reads.

“I can no longer read books sitting up,” the author — whose new book “The Unknown” is out now — told Page Six. “How long this has been going on, I have no idea. But it’s been a while. Years. Maybe even a decade.”

Sager explained if he’s reading a physical book, he has to be in his bed or on the couch.

“The likeliest reason is that it takes less effort to hold a book when I’m lying down. Since that sounds way too lazy, I’ve come up with an alternate reason: I like to be comfortable when I read,” he told us.

Sager, who is set to launch his new book with The Strand in NYC on Aug. 10, added that being relaxed helps transport him “to wherever the author wants to take me.”

See below for the six books the author’s recommends for reading while reclining, although, he quipped, “I think those show-offs who read sitting up will also enjoy them.”

“This decades-spanning, genre-blending, location-hopping meditation on love, life, movies, Italy, World War II, and Richard Burton is the book I’ve recommended the most. I unabashedly love it.”

“A group of people touring an allegedly haunted library start to die in ways reminiscent of the most infamous book in its collection. Gothic and spooky and fiendishly clever.”

“A brilliant premise — What if teen detectives a la Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys caught a serial killer, grew up to have messy adult lives and suddenly faced a copycat murderer? — that lives up to its promise.”

“Another book I’m constantly recommending. To call it the best psychological thriller about cheerleaders ever written would be a disservice. It’s one of the best psychological thrillers ever written. Period.”

“A book that holds me in a spell every time I read it. And I’ve read it a lot. A stone-cold classic.”

“I was aiming for peak spooky twistiness when I wrote this. You can read it lying down, but I guarantee there’ll be moments when you sit up and say, ‘What?!?!’”
