“Back to the Future” star Matt Clark has died. He was 89.

The actor, known for his role as the bartender in the third movie of the trilogy, passed away due to complications of back surgery at his Austin, Texas, home on Sunday, his family told TMZ.

Clark’s family shared that he valued working alongside people who loved their families and wasn’t concerned with the fame of the entertainment industry.

The “Jeremiah Johnson” star felt “lucky” to work in a career field that he loved and respected.

According to his family, “he died the way he lived, on his terms.”
