Bachelor Nation’s J.P. Rosenbaum is speaking out about navigating new relationships and personal growth after divorce.

Rosenbaum, 49, opened up about his “interesting” love life while answering fans’ questions during an Instagram Q&A on Tuesday, June 9. When a follower asked if Rosenbaum, who was previously married to Ashley Hebert, was seeing anyone, he replied, “Admittedly, I typically avoid answering these … but … nope.”

He continued, “I am not at the moment. It’s been an interesting couple of years in the dating world for me … too much of a roller coaster.”

“P.S. I really hate roller coasters,” Rosenbaum added. “Not a metaphor, but also a metaphor.”

As for whether he enjoys being single, Rosenbaum has mixed feelings. “I think overall I would much prefer to go through life with that special person at my side,” he shared.

Another social media user asked if he ever sees himself “settling down with someone again.”

“Absolutely!” Rosenbaum wrote. “I’d say that I def want all the things that come along with a marriage. Do I need the legal part of it? No, I don’t ‘need,’ but would I? Of course!”

Rosenbaum said he still believes in finding his “happily ever after” nearly five years after his divorce from Hebert, 41.

Rosenbaum said his dynamic with Hebert remains cordial post-split. “The relationship we have now is the one that works best for our kids and us. It’s good coparent, same team mentality for the kids, supportive, friendly, brother/sister relationship.”

“We were fortunate to have an amicable post-divorce relationship,” he added. “Not everyone is that lucky!”

Rosenbaum added that he will always “love” Hebert as the “mother of [his] children.”

The former couple met in 2011 while filming season 7 of The Bachelorette. After building a strong connection, Rosenbaum got down on one knee and proposed. The following year, they tied the knot in Pasadena, California. In 2014, they welcomed their first child, son Fordham, now 11. Two years later, in 2016, they expanded their family again with the birth of Essex, now 9.

In 2020, the couple announced their separation after months of being apart. They finalized their divorce in October 2021.

Hebert has since moved on romantically and found love with Miami-based food blogger Yanni Georgoulakis, whom she started dating in 2021.
