Audacy has named Leah Reis-Dennis as its new head of podcasts.
Reis-Dennis joined Audacy in 2022 and has most recently been serving as vice president of podcast content strategy and business development. In the new role, Reis-Dennis will lead content, partnerships and marketing for Audacy’s podcast slate.
During her tenure at Audacy, Reis-Dennis has helped bring in titles including Search Engine, Office Ladies, The Severance Podcast, PAVE, The Moth, Disgraceland and more. Before joining Audacy, Reis-Dennis worked in podcast business development at Stitcher/SXM.
“Leah has been instrumental in the growth and success of our podcast portfolio, and we’re honored to elevate her into this expanded leadership role,” said Chris Oliviero, chief business officer, Audacy. “Her creativity and strategic vision will drive our continued investment in digital audio and podcasting, advancing our content strategy, deepening our partnerships and delivering a premium experience for listeners and innovative solutions for advertisers.”
Reis-Dennis takes on the role after the departure of J.D. Crowley, who was the company’s chief digital officer and president of podcast and streaming. His departure came amid an overhaul of the company’s leadership team, including a new CEO, and after the layoff of hundreds of employees. Audacy emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January 2024 and is now running as a private company with a restructured balance sheet that reduced its debt load.
“I’m excited to lead the Audacy podcast group into its next chapter,” said Reis-Dennis. “We’ve built a strong foundation and will continue serving our partners and clients by doubling down on creative dealmaking and high-touch partner relationships while expanding our scale, scope and vision for the future.”
