Nidhi Shah, who got humongous popularity for her role as Kinjal Shah in Anupamaa, has recently been making headlines for her personal life. The actress is in the news after a social media user claimed that she had an affair with her Anupamaa co-star Gaurav Khanna. The actor, often called a ‘green flag’ by his fans online, is married to Akanksha Chamola. While he is yet to react to the rumours, his Anupamaa co-star Nidhi was quick to respond to the ongoing speculations in a quirky way. Here is what happened.
Nidhi Shah On Claims Of Having An Affair With Gaurav Khanna
Recently, some eagle-eyed fans noticed that Nidhi liked an Instagram post that mocked Gaurav Khanna’s Bigg Boss win, claiming he didn’t deserve the trophy. Some fans flooded the comment section with assumptions about their past association with the show. Among them, one user mentioned, “They’ve had an affair during Anupamaa.” Reacting to the speculations, Nidhi replied, “Ya you know better,” with laughing emojis. While she clearly denied the relationship rumours, Gaurav is yet to respond to the speculations.
On the other hand, Gaurav Khanna was recently asked about the criticism around his Bigg Boss win. In an interview with Free Press Journal, the actor said, “I just want to say one thing to them that I was not there to please 15 people inside. I was there to please 150 crore people watching me, and somewhere I have made some mark, I have touched their hearts somewhere, and that’s why they have voted for me. And they have voted for me consistently because these guys, these 15 chaps inside, were nominating me every week.”
He further said, “So they were trying to push me out, but because of you (audience) guys, I was standing in front of them like a rock, and I was standing in a completely dignified manner. I didn’t say anything bad to anyone, I didn’t get into unnecessary topics, I didn’t create unnecessary topics, I didn’t break plates, I didn’t wear jewellery, I didn’t wear designer clothes, I was very normal. I think in a show like this, people want to see normal people, and when they see that a person is normal or is trying to be normal, then they connect with you. Dil jeete hai isliye show jeeta hoon!”
Meanwhile, Farhana Bhatt was the first runner-up of Bigg Boss 19, while Pranit More was declared second runner-up.
