When Sudhanshu Pandey quit Anupamaa last year, there were reports it was due to differences with the show’s lead, Rupali Ganguly. Often in the past, Pandey cleared the air that there was no truth to these claims. However, the back-to-back quitting of several other stars from the show didn’t let the rumours die. Now, there’s proof that things are well between the two.
Recently, Sudhanshu Pandey revealed that he got a message from Rupali Ganguly. About the same, the actor revealed, “Even though there are so many stories going around, whatever I said was my side of the story, and it was 100 percent the truth. Stories have nothing to do with reality, so don’t believe them. All is well; the four years have been fantastic. I will cherish being a part of Anupamaa all my life. The equation with Rupali is all okay. I was chatting with her recently. She messaged me about something on Instagram, and we were bickering about it. So it is all fine.”
Further in this interview with Screen, Pandey confessed that his exit from Anupamaa was quite smooth. He even cleared the rumours that he had differences with producer Rajan Shahi. “The reason why I announced my exit on social media was because I felt responsible towards my audience. Those who were wondering where Vanraj had gone, I had to tell them that I was not going to be a part of the show. I didn’t want them to be later shocked or heartbroken. At least I told them personally, and they didn’t come to know from other sources,” said the actor.
After Anupamaa, Sudhanshu Pandey participated in the reality show Traitors. It’s an upcoming show hosted by Karan Johar that also stars Uorfi Javed, Mukesh Chhabra, Karan Patel, Raftaar, and others.
