The Bachchan family is one of the most renowned families in the Bollywood industry. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan‘s unconventional fashion choices went viral on social media. The two were seen wearing two different luxury watches on each hand. Actor Abhishek was promoting his upcoming movie, Be Happy and was spotted wearing two high-end watches. Within no time, this became an overnight sensation on social media and fans were curious to know the reason behind it.
Abhishek’s fashion trend is more than a unique and quirky style choice. It seems it is their family’s tradition of fashion. The trend of wearing two watches on each hand is not something new in their family. Amitabh Bachchan has also been spotted wearing two and sometimes three watches at one time. In Budhha Hoga Tera Baap film, Amitabh Bachchan flaunted this unique style.
Abhishek had earlier revealed the reason behind wearing two watches at the same time. In a 2011 interview with India TV News, he revealed that his style was inspired by his mother, Jaya Bachchan. He said that during his boarding school days in Europe, his mother would wear two watches to keep track of the time in India and Europe. He said that this is the way she could coordinate her conversations with Abhishek as per the local time.
Amitabh Bachchan also adopted this practical habit which allows him to stay aware of multiple time zones. He said, “Yes, I used to wear two and sometimes even three watches for fun or when I wanted a change. It was something amusing to do”. Abhishek seems to be following his parents’ footsteps and has set a distinctive fashion trend.
On the work front, Abhishek was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s I Want To Talk. He is all set to be seen in Remo D’Souza’s Be Happy co-starring Nora Fatehi.
