Actress Christy Chung and singer Jimmy Lin took a trip down memory lane by recreating a photo of themselves from 16 years ago — and their age-defying looks have caught fans’ attention.
In an Instagram post on Aug 10, the 55-year-old Canadian actress posted a photo taken recently with her daughter Cayla and the 51-year-old Taiwanese singer-actor.
She also included a side-by-side photo of them taken 16 years ago in the same post.
Christy wrote in the caption: “So many years have passed, and it seems that Jimmy and I haven’t changed at all… Only little koala, from that tiny koala back then, has grown into a big girl in the blink of an eye.
“Time has been especially ‘gentle’ to us… What do you think?”
Cayla, 16, affectionately known as little Koala, is Christy’s second daughter with her ex-husband, music producer Jon Yen.
She ended her post with: “Friendship is like this, I guess. More than twenty years have passed, but the tacit understanding and affection between Jimmy and I have not diminished at all. Instead, they have become more precious as time goes by.”
Christy and Jimmy forged a friendship after acting together in the Chinese wuxia series Demi-Gods and Semi-Devil (2003).
Netizens took to the comments to praise their enduring friendship and youthful looks.
