For the past few days, the Udaariyaan couple, Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary are ruling the headlines. As per reports, the actors have called it quits. Rumours of their breakup spread like wildfire after reports of them unfollowing each other on social media caught attention. A major shocker came in when Ankit Gupta revealed that he has backed out of Ravi Sargun’s project Terre Ho Jaayein Hum. He was to star alongside Priyanka in this one. Now that the actor is out of the show, who will replace him? There are reports claiming that Barun Sobti is going to be the male lead in Terre Ho Jaayein Hum.
As reported by entertainment news portal Gossips TV, Barun Sobti has replaced Ankit Gupta to be the lead in Terre Ho Jaayein Hum. However, there is no confirmation as yet. Barun, is a well established TV star and has appeared in shows like Dill Mill Gayye, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and many more. He has also been a part of many top web series including Kohrra, Raat Jawaan Hai, Asur and others. If these reports are true, the show will mark Barun Sobti’s return to TV. We await official confirmation.
Meanwhile, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary has maintained full silence on all the breakup rumours. Ankit Gupta too has avoided to directly comment on the same. But in one of the interviews, he revealed the reason behind his exit from Terre Ho Jaayein Hum. To Bollywood Bubble, he said, “I backed out of the project with Ravi-Sargun. I don’t think that I would be able to do something for that project right now. And maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge myself.” He also shared that he won’t be signing up for Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 this year. He revealed that he was approached for the show but he would like to give it a miss.
