Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa is the talk of the town. The show has always been the TRP topper but since a few months the numbers are down. This has happened since the leap took place. Shivam Khajuria and Alisha Parveen entered the show post leap as the lead couple. They played Prem and Rahi in the serial. However, Alisha was replaced overnight by Adrija Roy. Adrija is now the new Rahi and her chemistry with Shivam is being loved. However, when the story of Rahi and Prem began, people noticed that it is copied from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Kartik and Naira’s story from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai was similar. Right from Kartik-Naira’s first meeting to Kartik’s family being introduced, everything looked the same in Anupama as well. Adrija aka Rahi has now opened up about the story being copied. She spoke to India Forums and said that she did not watch Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai but has seen edits of both the shows being compared.
She added, “Dekho, ho sakta hai ke tracks same ho. But it is good only na? Us wakt par wo track super hit tha, toh agar wo recreate kar rahe hai hum toh isme galat kya hai? I think kisi bhi tarah ke comparisons ki jarurat nahi hai. Uss time par wo show hit tha and I think it is working for us too.”
She also shared that she is loving working on the show and sometimes, they even have scenes that are similar to films which is fine. She believes that in the end, people are loving the show and this is more important.
Talking about the recent episodes, we saw the Kothari family being introduced in the show. Alka Kaushal, Rahil Azam, Zalak Desai and others have entered the show.
