Akshaye Khanna is reportedly in talks with another big project headlined by Akshay Kumar. Read to know more.

Fans are going to have a lot of fun as there are talks of a Bhagam Bhag sequel. Around 20 years after its release, there are whispers floating about the sequel. According to several reports, Akshaye Khanna might join the cast of Bhagam Bhag 2 alongside Akshay Kumar. If the reports come true, then it will be double dhamaka for the fans of Khanna and Kumar. For those who are unaware, both actors were last seen in Tees Maar Khan in 2010. If the reunion happens, then it will be a laugh-packed rollercoaster.

The reports also claimed that Meenakshi Chaudhary is the female lead in the movie. The film is set to be helmed by Dream Girl director Raaj Shaandilyaa. The film will be the follow up to the 2006 hit Bhagam Bhag.

The first instalment featured Akshay Kumar, Govinda, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Lara Dutta, Tanushree Dutta, Stephanie Page, Arbaaz Khan, Jackie Shroff and Shakti Kapoor in the key roles. The film has been directed by Priyadarshan and produced by Suniel Shetty, Dhilin Mehta, Dhaval Jatania, Hiren Gandhi, and K.Sera Sera. The movie has been made on a budget of 32 crore.

This year, the actor has been seen in two films, including Chhaava and Dhurandhar. Khanna got huge fame after his stint in Dhurandhar. His portrayal as Rehman Dakait was immensely praised by the audience, and his entry in the film continued to break the internet even after weeks of release. On the other hand, his portrayal as Aurangzeb in Chhaava was also highly praised by the audience and critics. Even after months of release, his work has been appreciated by viewers.

The actor will be next seen in Dhurandhar Part 2 and Mahakali. In the movie, he set to play the role of Shukracharya. The film has been directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru. Mahakali is expected to be released in theatres in 2026. Other than these two films, he will also be seen in Drishyam 3 as IG Tarun Ahlawat. The movie also features Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the lead roles. Drishyam 3. If reports are to be believed, Drishyam 3 will be released on October 2, 2026. Abhishek Pathak is set to direct the third instalment of Drishyam and will continue his work after the sequel of the hit franchise. More details of the film are awaited.
