Ben Affleck was photographed returning to his $20 million home in Los Angeles on Wednesday after evacuating due to the Palisades Fire.
A source tells Page Six exclusively that the “Air” actor visited his home after learning that it was still standing.
“Ben’s home is still under evacuation order, but he feels so grateful his property is safe for the time being,” the insider says.
“Ben knows many people who unfortunately lost their homes. He has seen a lot of devastation, and it’s beyond tragic. … Ben is reaching out to anybody he can to help.”
Affleck was seen sitting in his black sedan while entering a code to gain access to the home on Wednesday.
The movie star, who wore a tan suit jacket and white collared shirt, looked straight-faced as he drove his car and observed the devastating damage in the neighborhoods around his home.
The “Argo” director, 52, returned to his place after initially fleeing and staying at his ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s home in Brentwood.
Photos obtained by Page Six showed Affleck looking concerned while he drove off to Garner’s house on Tuesday evening.
Affleck purchased his new $20.5 million mansion just five months ago in July 2024, after separating from Jennifer Lopez.
Affleck’s home appears to be one of the few still standing in the Palisades community, since the horrific fire wiped through a whopping 15,000 acres after erupting Tuesday morning.
The wind-driven blazes across Los Angeles caused at least 100,000 people to evacuate areas like Altadena, Malibu, the Hollywood Hills and San Fernando, among others.
Several celebrities have also been affected by the record-breaking fires. Billy Crystal, Eugene Levy, Anna Faris and John Goodman are among some of the A-listers whose homes have tragically burned down.
“Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester and her husband, “Nobody Wants This” actor Adam Brody, also had to evacuate with their two children. Their house was later burned to ashes, as well.
Paris Hilton took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that her beloved vacation home in Malibu was destroyed.
“The Hills” alums Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have also been sharing emotional updates ever since they announced on Tuesday that their house was one of the first to succumb to the flames.
“I have no words… I’m so thankful that we’re safe,” Montag said through tears in a TikTok video on Wednesday. “I’m so sad our house is gone. I wish I could have gone back and got more.”
