Sunita on Govinda rejecting SRK’s Devdas

Sunita Ahuja has expressed her displeasure over the same and questioned why her husband would take on a second lead as the star of the 90s. Sunita is also glad that her husband rejected the offer.
Sunita said that Govinda was a big star and why should he accept such a role as a top actor? “He was a top star during the ‘80s, ’90s, and 2000s. Why would you offer a role like that to him? He handled it very well; I wouldn’t have been as kind,” she told Hindi Rush. Eventually, Jackie Shroff was offered the role of Chunnilal and people loved his performance.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas, starring Shah Rukh Khan, also stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles. The film also features Kirron Kher, Tiku Talsania, and Dina Pathak in supporting roles. It is cited as one of the best Hindi movies and was also premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. On the other hand, Govinda’s last theatrical release was Rangeela Raja, which was directed by Pahlaj Nihalani.
