Yet another homegrown F&B brand is calling it a day.
Popular local patisserie Luna will be closing by the end of the year, it announced in an Instagram post on Monday (Sept 28).
“It’s difficult to put this into words, but with very heavy hearts, we’re sharing that Luna will be closing its doors on Dec 31, 2026,” it wrote.
Reflecting on its journey, Luna shared that the brand had grown to mean more than just a business. Rather, it’s a “labour of love” built around special moments such as birthdays, celebrations and familiar faces.
The brand also shared that it will be bringing back some of their crowd favourites and classic creations before bowing out.
“If there’s something you’ve always wanted to try, or a favourite you’d love to have one more time, this is your chance,” it wrote.
The patisserie also put out a call for potential takeovers.

“If you’ve ever dreamed of carrying the brand forward, we’d love to hear from you,” it wrote.
It ended the post thanking everyone who has supported the brand.
“We’ll always be grateful that you gave Luna a place in your lives.”

Why close?
Following the announcement, Luna cited rising operational and ingredient costs as the reason for closure.
These factors made it “increasingly challenging” for the brand to operate sustainably, the patisserie told The Straits Times.
At the same time, it was also unable to find a suitable physical space that would allow the brand to grow “in a way that feels right”.
Customers can continue purchasing Luna’s cakes online until its last day on Dec 31.
Meanwhile, Lucine by Luna, a separate cafe launched by the brand, will remain open. The patisserie’s cakes will also be available there until then.
The closure announcement quickly garnered attention from fans, many of whom took to the comments section to express their disappointment.
“Oh my god no, I just discovered your brand and your cakes are so nice,” a comment read, while another said: “No, I have been ordering your orh nee cake for years!”
Others made plans to patronise the patisserie before its closure.
“Take my money already, coming this weekend!” A netizen commented.
While another said: “At least I’ll be back in time to order the whole menu before it closes.”
First opened in 2020, Luna Patisserie is known for its intricate range of cakes, entremets and tarts.
It operated its physical store at Amoy Street for five years before leaving the location in 2025.
In 2024, it opened Lucine by Luna at 111 Somerset.
Popular items on Luna’s menu include its Orh Nee Cake (from $8.50), Matcha Opera (from $9.50) and Chocolate Rocher (from $8.80).
