Presley Gerber was cremated days after he tragically died at a Santa Monica, California, rehab facility at the age of 27.
According to his death certificate, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s son was cremated at the Rose Family Funeral Home, TMZ reported Friday.
Per the outlet, Crawford, 60, and Gerber, 63, will keep the ashes at their Malibu, California, home.
An official cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Gerber died on Sunday from a suspected drug overdose the same weekend he checking into a luxurious $7.7 million sober living home, where he was receiving treatment for substance addiction and mental health issues.
A 911 recording obtained by Page Six revealed emergency services responded to a call for a “cardiac arrest” and “overdose.”
The model was reportedly under the influence of a substance upon his arrival at the facility.
The former model had been open about his struggles with addiction and mental health in the years leading up to his death.
Last November, Presley shared that he “had to step back and take care of my own mental health for a bit” while explaining a brief hiatus from social media.
A source who knew Presley personally described his ongoing struggles exclusively to Page Six.
“He had demons. Not all related to being a celebrity kid,” the source said. “It’s tough because you never know if someone wants to be your friend or wants something.”
Another source also exclusively told Page Six that Presley “seemed off” in the weeks before his death, and “didn’t seem like himself.”
In addition to his parents, Presley is survived by his younger sister, Kaia Gerber, 25, who is said to be struggling with the loss of her brother, with whom she was extraordinarily close.
“They were way more than brother and sister,” the insider said. “She is heartbroken. They were like best friends.”
Crawford and Rande have not publicly commented on the cremation. The family previously asked for privacy as they mourned the loss of their son.
