Three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Zen will reopen on Tuesday (Aug 25) after three months of renovations that began on June 2.
Located in a three-storey shophouse at Bukit Pasoh, the restaurant was founded by Swedish chef Bjorn Frantzen.
The team is currently helmed by head chef Kelvin Ng and general manager Rachel Ezekiel.
In an Instagram post on July 30, the restaurant wrote: “A new chapter begins now.”

Reservations for September opened earlier this month.
Reservations open on the first of each month at 10am Singapore time. Parties of five to eight guests can contact the establishment at [email protected] or +65 6534 8880.
Stockholm-born Bjorn opened Restaurant Zen in November 2018. The establishment is inspired by its Stockholm counterpart, Restaurant Frantzen.
Bjorn is also the founder of Frantzen Group, which has two other three-Michelin-starred restaurants under its umbrella: Restaurant Frantzen, as well as FZN in Dubai.
Other than fine dining restaurants, Frantzen Group also owns casual concepts such as Brasserie Astoria and Beach Club Astoria.
With the opening of FZN in Dubai in 2024, which was awarded three Michelin stars less than a year after its opening, Bjorn became the only chef in the world to simultaneously lead three three-Michelin-starred restaurants.
Restaurant Zen earned two Michelin stars in the Michelin Guide Singapore in September 2019, just 10 months after opening. In 2021, it was promoted to three Michelin stars.
At the 2026 Michelin awards, the restaurant retained its three Michelin stars, maintaining its status among Singapore’s top dining establishments.
“We are deeply honoured to retain our three Michelin stars for 2026. This recognition is a testament to the care, discipline and dedication shown by our team every single day,” Restaurant Zen wrote in an Instagram post on Aug 4.

“To our guests, partners, suppliers, and owners, thank you for your continued trust and support throughout the years. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Michelin Guide for this honour and recognition. As always, we move forward with humility, gratitude, and the constant pursuit of excellence.”
Apart from being listed in the Michelin Guide, Restaurant Zen was awarded No. 1 restaurant in Singapore on La Liste in 2025 and in the Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award in 2023.
