Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities buy when they’re browsing their favorite boutique or shopping online late at night? Welcome to Six Picks, where we ask stars to spill their style and beauty must-haves — so you can shop like you’re famous, too.
Megan Lawless is having a major moment.
In Curry Barker’s horror hit “Obsession,” the actress plays Sarah Harper, the pragmatic foil to pals Bear (Michael Johnston) and Nikki (Inde Navarrette) as they embark on a toxic, terrifying romantic relationship. With her tattoos, septum piercing and dark lipstick, the character’s alt-goth aesthetic belies her empathy — making her tragic fate all the more shocking.
In real life, however, Lawless’ style couldn’t be more different from her on-screen alter ego’s. With an assist from stylist Amanda Lim, her recent press looks have ranged from vintage Vivienne Westwood and Dolce & Gabbana designs to an archival velvet Haider Ackermann gown for the movie’s LA premiere.
We recently caught up with the rising star at Armani Beauty’s Dolci Blush dinner in Montauk to ask about her own obsessions, all of which you can shop below.
“It’s all I’ve been wearing for the past four years, probably. I think every woman wears it, but it’s really the best.”
“It’s the best chapstick. Your lips will never be chapped again!”
“These are great, and you don’t have to worry if you lose them, because they’re not too expensive.”
“I love a baggy, low-rise jean; it’s so relaxed. These ones are my off-duty favorites.”
“It makes your skin look airbrushed.”
“I love a mule heel — they’re so comfortable, and they really elongate your legs.”
