Whoopi Goldberg made Anne Hathaway cry on Monday’s episode of “The View” by praising her thriving career.
“Anne Hathaway, it’s been wonderful watching you,” the “Sister Act” star told Hathaway, who appeared on the talk show with Matt Damon and Christopher Nolan to promote their upcoming movie, “The Odyssey.”
“It’s been wonderful watching you grow up. And you have just blossomed, turned into this fabulous actress,” she continued.
The “Devil Wears Prada” actress, 43, clasped her hands over her face and teared up, telling Golberg, “No, don’t!”
“Girl! Yes! Yes! You need to know. You need to know,” the “Color Purple” actress, 70, insisted. “It’s something you need to know and remember.”
Hathaway, who is currently pregnant with her third child, quipped, “I’d be crying [even] if I wasn’t pregnant right now! I don’t even know what to say. Thank you. You know how I feel about you.”
Golberg then turned her attention to Damon, gushing about how much she “adored” him from the first time she met him at the Oscars in February 2016.
“I know you know my family because they lived around the corner from y’all, and you feel like home,” she gushed. “Thank you for always being upright and great and fabulous in what you do.”
Last month, Hathaway confirmed she was expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman.
After Page Six obtained photos of Hathaway baring her bump while on vacation with her family, she confirmed the news on social media with a sweet video.
“x Baby, I’m yours x,” the “Princess Diaries” actress, who has been open about her fertility struggles, captioned the post.
Hathaway and the jewelry line co-founder, 45, also share sons Jonathan and Jack, who were born in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
