Prime Video’s roster of acclaimed book-to-screen adaptations keeps growing.
On the heels of “Off Campus,” based on a series of novels by Elle Kennedy, comes another Canadian romance adaptation: “Every Year After,” based on the novel “Every Summer After” by Carley Fortune.
The series, set in a quaint Canadian Lake Town called Barry’s Bay, takes place over six years and one week and follows Percy Fraser (Sadie Soverall), whose family owns a summer cottage on the lake. Percy immediately becomes acquainted with the neighbors, including Sam (Matt Cornett), a boy her age who quickly becomes her best friend.
As Percy and Sam’s relationship blossoms over those summers, it only takes one mistake to change everything — and ten years later, Percy has one week to reckon with her mistakes as she comes face to face with Sam for the first time since that fateful mistake.
