JoJo Siwa has revealed she’s been forced to go on bed rest after a terrifying golf cart accident left her with concussion.
The singer, 23, has been busier than ever preparing for her cruise event later this month, but in an Instagram post on Tuesday, shared she has been forced to pause her work commitments.
In a video she shared with her followers, JoJo revealed that alongside the accident she’d also contracted a nasty eye infection that forced her to wear an eyepatch.
The Dance Moms star added that she was ‘very lucky’ to avoid being seriously injured during the accident.
She said: ‘Things aren’t going too well. If you don’t want to see a scary-looking eye, look away for three seconds, this is what I’m working with.
‘This is the best it’s been, hopefully it’ll be on the mend in the next few days. And on top of this, I also have a concussion, I’m a mess.

‘Long story short, fell off the golf cart that’s how I got the concussion, I was turning left, wheel got locked the golf cart malfunctioned, threw me off.
‘Went on my neck hit my head and flipped over, this came up a couple of days over, they think it’s completely unrelated which is good. A gnarly eye infection.
‘Due to the concussion, I am basically on bed and couch rest for the next three days or so. I went to three doctors, not yesterday, the day before.
‘Good news about the accident is I’m really lucky how I ended up, I could have been seriously, seriously injured, I’m very lucky how I came out of it.’
In the caption JoJo added: ‘It’s been a very long week, I fell off the golf cart last Monday. With rest, my concussion has been recovering well. Nowhere near 100%, but on a good track.
‘My eye however, is taking longer than expected to come around. I have a lovely team of doctors keeping a very close eye on me as I now am going to be back in rehearsals starting tomorrow.
‘It’s definitely a bit early to be going back into everything, and I have to be very careful of not being 100% recovered… but the greatest saying in Hollywood, which I’m realising to be true, the show must go on.
‘If you see me with sunglasses on, just know, I’m not being a drama diva, just taking care of my eye giving it a bit of relief, the patch I found after a few days to be a bit difficult with the concussion recovery so only wear it now if I need a complete light break!

‘Thank you for the lovely messages, I’ve been down the last few days dealing with this and feeling a little bit bummed but I’ve seen lots online that has made me smile so thank you for that.’
JoJo’s accident came just days before she released the 10th Anniversary EP of her hit song Boomerang.
Over the weekend, the star also spoke to Daily Mail about the frenzied backlash surrounding the early days of her romance with boyfriend Chris Hughes, admitting it did ‘get to them a little bit.’
The pair formed a close friendship when they met on Celebrity Big Brother last year, but raised eyebrows with their bond on the show, given the Dance Moms star was in a relationship with Kath Ebbs at the time.
JoJo went on to split from her partner Kath just hours after CBB wrapped, and in the weeks that followed, fans speculated whether JoJo and Chris’ relationship had blossomed into something more.
Of course this has now proven to be the case, with the couple celebrating their one-year anniversary this week, and JoJo has now opened up about those early days of their relationship.
Despite the wild theories and backlash, JoJo has told Daily Mail she and Chris, 33, ‘never had a conversation’ about any of the claims, and said any opinions about their relationship ‘don’t matter’ to them.
Speaking about her relationship with Chris, JoJo said: ‘The thing about it is, we never spoke about it.
‘Him and I never had a conversation of, ”oh, someone said this, or oh, people are saying that.”
‘We, especially in the beginning, we never, ever spoke about it to each other. I think it definitely got to both of us a little bit because we weren’t sure how the other person was feeling. But we never, ever were bothered by an opinion of something.
‘Because I also – look, we both have a decade-long career in this industry where we’ve had plenty of things said about each other individually and plenty of things that are true and plenty of things that aren’t true.
‘And so I think it just kind of works, and we don’t need to talk about it, and our public lives are our public lives, and our private lives are our private lives.
‘We don’t talk about when and where they mix, they just naturally do.
‘I don’t know, the opinions, for me, the opinions never matter because the only opinion that matters is his and my mom’s. Aside from that, honestly, even my dad, like, all good, bro. If you have an opinion that’s not good, all good.’
JoJo added that she plans to show her grandchildren the moment she and Chris first met on Celebrity Big Brother, saying: ‘It’s really fun to look back at.’
