Katy Perry proved she has a great sense of humor as she reacted to ex-boyfriend Josh Groban’s engagement to Natalie McQueen.
The singer, 41, took to her TikTok on Monday to share a video of herself weeping in front of a screenshot of a news article announcing the engagement.
The clip, which saw her pouring a drink and spilling it over herself while crying, was set to her 2010 heartbreak anthem The One That Got Away, which she wrote about him.
‘Congrats,’ she wrote in her caption, along with two champagne flute emojis.
Perry – who is currently romancing former Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, 54 – and Gorban dated back in 2009, and remain friends.
In the lyrics of The One That Got Away she expressed profound regret over losing a lover, singing, ‘In another life/ I would be your girl/ We’d keep all our promises/ Be us against the world/ In another life/ I would make you stay/ So I don’t have to say you were the one that got away.’
