Actor and comedian Alex Duong has died after a year-long battle with cancer.
Duong’s friend Hilary Steele shared the sad news on Saturday on a GoFundMe created for his family, including his wife, Christina, and their daughter Everest, 5.
“He was comfortable and thankfully out of pain,” Steele wrote.
“He was alert enough to say goodbye to his little girl, whom he has treasured every moment since the day she was born,” she continued.
“We are devastated, but so grateful for the support, prayers and generosity you have all shown during this unimaginable time.”
On Friday, Steele wrote that Duong’s health took a turn for the worse.
“He has gone into septic shock, a severe and life-threatening infection that has overwhelmed his body,” she wrote. :He is in the hospital, and the situation is critical. Everything has changed so quickly.”
At the time, she asked for donations to go towards emergency medical care and hospital costs, rent, food, and basic living expenses.
In 2025, Duong — best know for his appearances on “Blue Bloods” — was diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer affecting soft tissue.
