Foam sweet foam.
Self-proclaimed accidental beauty influencer Bethenny Frankel shared an Instagram post earlier this week, raving about a drugstore find that she called an “excellent cleanser.”
We feel like an incredible face wash is such an overlooked beauty staple, so it immediately caught our attention.
Turns out she’s a fan of CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser — an easy-on-the-wallet buy. It has nearly 22,000 five-star ratings on Amazon, suggesting that the makeup-busting formula must be bubbly gold.
The “RHONY” legend starts off her video by washing her face and raving, “I think I have found my favorite cleanser.”
The facial wash, which is best for dry to normal skin, contains skincare heroes like ceramides and hyaluronic acid to treat skin while removing makeup and impurities. The formula even works on eye makeup and sunscreen.
(It’s so popular, CeraVe actually makes a few different kinds for every skin type.)
While she said Cetaphil is a nice, gentle cleanser, Frankel quipped she doesn’t feel like it’s quite “meaty” enough, whereas CeraVe has a “gel-creamy vibe — but then it foams.”
The “Just B” podcast host explained her facialist told her that for a cleanser to really be “pulling out the dirt and working well,” it needs to foam.
“I feel like it’s really cleaning, I feel like it’s really hydrating,” she raved of the “best of both worlds” CeraVe buy, adding that she appreciates the big pump bottle.
“I love this cleanser! I think I like it better than the expensive ones,” she concluded.
She then put it to the “tone test” by using a cotton pad with toner, showing that there was zero makeup left on her face — despite the fact that she was wearing foundation and typically finds residue after cleansing.
With tens of thousands of five-star reviews and a whopping 4.8-star rating, many shoppers agree with Frankel.
“Keeps skin moisturized, clean, looking younger if you can believe that … amazing product,” reads one, saying it’s far better than the regular CeraVe cleanser.
While we have already added the budget-friendly buy to our carts, you can shop a few more products Frankel’s raved about below.
