Meghan Markle made a surprise visit to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles on Thursday, one week after Netflix cut ties with her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The hospital documented Markle’s visit on Instagram, sharing photos of the Duchess of Sussex spending time with multiple young patients at the facility.
Markle, who wore a black face mask in all the pictures, sat next to one of the kids in a snapshot.
In another, she showed a Hello Kitty drawing to a patient.
The mother of two also joined patients and staff for a painting session.
Markle, 44, wore a white shirt and white pants with a beige sweater for the outing.
“Today we were honored to welcome LA’s own @meghan, Duchess of Sussex, to CHLA’s Creative Oasis, where she spent time painting alongside our incredible patients,” the hospital captioned its Instagram post.
“These special moments are a reminder of how powerful creativity can be in fostering joy, connection, and healing,” the post continued.
The hospital explained that Markle’s visit was part of Make March Matter, their “month-long fundraising campaign supporting the lifesaving care, research, and innovation that happens at CHLA every day.”
Markle visited the same hospital in 2024 and participated in a Literally Healing session, a reading program that gifts families at CHLA more than 65,000 books annually.
“Children were laughing and singing as The Duchess turned into character with every page as she read patient favorite books like ‘Rosie the Riveter,’ ‘Pete the Cat’ and ‘I Saw a Cat,’” CHLA said in a statement at the time.
Last Friday, Page Six exclusively revealed that Netflix ended its partnership with As Ever.
“Her show did not go on so it did not make sense to continue the partnership,” an industry source exclusively told Page Six, referring to her series, “With Love, Meghan.”
A Netflix spokesperson told us, “Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life.”
An As Ever rep told Page Six that the company “is now ready to stand on its own” and has “an exciting year ahead.”
Following the Netflix fiasco, Markle is headlining a luxury women’s retreat in Australia in April that has been criticized for its sky-high price.
Attendees who want the VIP experience have to pay $2,288, while Early Bird tickets cost $1,930.
The retreat will take place during Markle and Prince Harry’s upcoming Aussie tour, where they’ll take part in several private, business and philanthropic engagements.
