Bethenny Frankel sliced her face open while trying a new beauty tool bought off social media.
The former “Real Housewives of New York City” star filmed the aftermath of the horrifying incident and shared it late Thursday night as a warning to her followers on social media.
Holding a bloody wipe to her face to stop the gashes along her jaw from bleeding, she said shakily, “Oh my God, oh my God!”
Frankel, 55, explained she had purchased a beauty tool that “someone on here was promoting.”
“These balls, they’re supposed to contour your face — I grind my teeth and my jaw is pronounced and it hurts, so it would give some relief and I saw red in there and I thought it was my skin,” she continued while still wiping the flowing blood off her face.
She also made a point to show off the product, which featured a chipped glass tube. It’s unclear if the glass was already chipped or if it had chipped during use.
“They’re glass and I was slicing …,” she added before questioning what she could do to make the blood stop.
The Skinnygirl founder went on to warn her followers to “not believe every person who promotes something.”
“This is so scary, I was going to go down my neck — I could have sliced my jugular, I’m freaking out!”
Frankel concluded her video by telling her followers that she had found a first-aid product that promised to stop the bleeding and heal her skin fast.
“This happened mid video. I am fine. I’m just shook. No one said the lord’s work would be easy,” she captioned the shocking video.
Frankel also recently battled a bacterial infection that left her with a massive rash on her face. At the time, she claimed she had contracted it from using the towels at her St. Barts resort.
The former Bravolebrity, who has refused to join the “RHONY” spin-off being filmed in Palm Beach, was recently diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease.
In January, she explained that her condition could be the result of a “traumatic experience [she] had years ago when [she] almost died from an allergy attack,” or it could be an autoimmune disease.
However, last month, she noted that her condition had taken a “step in the wrong direction,” and she actually had stage 3A.
