Nikki Glaser, the Golden Globe, Grammy and Emmy-nominated comedian who hosted the Golden Globe Awards in 2025 and 2026, will return as the emcee of that ceremony — the highest-profile awards show that celebrates the best of both film and TV — for its 84th edition in January 2027, CBS and the Golden Globes organization announced Wednesday.
The ceremony will air on CBS, and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S., on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2027.
In 2025 Glaser became the first female solo host of a Globes telecast, and received rave reviews. She returned in 2026 and, though viewership slightly declined, was praised by THR’s TV critic for a “top-tier monologue.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Nikki back to the Golden Globes stage in 2027,” Helen Hoehne, the president of the Golden Globes organization, said in a statement. “Her comedic precision, authenticity and ability to command the room is unmatched, and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for next year’s show.”
Added Glaser, “I’m thrilled to host the Golden Globes for a third time, not only because it’s the greatest gig I’ve ever had, but because my sister has three kids and now we will be equal in the eyes of my parents and the Lord.”
Glaser will have emceed the show more times than any other host(s) save for Ricky Gervais, a five-timer, and the team of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, four-timers.
The 84th Golden Globe Awards, like the 83rd, will be produced by Dick Clark Productions, and will be broadcast in more than 185 countries and territories worldwide.
Golden Globes producer Dick Clark Productions is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge that also owns The Hollywood Reporter.
