She’s somebody’s girl.
After months of dating rumors, Tate McRae’s relationship status with Olympic hockey player Jack Hughes has finally been revealed.
“Tate and Jack are dating,” a source told US Weekly on Wednesday. “They started casually seeing each other late last year, so it’s still new, but they are exclusively seeing each other.”
According to the insider, McRae, 22, and Hughes, 24, connected after the athlete “initially messaged her on IG and started a conversation.”
“[Tate] thinks [Jack] is a really cool guy and they have been having a lot of fun together,” the source continued. “She has been so supportive of his career and has been loving going to the games and cheering him on.”
The artist and the New Jersey Devils star were first linked in December 2025, after McRae attended one of Hughes’ hockey games at Newark’s Prudential Center.
After the match, the two were spotted out and about together in New York City.
“They are making it work during this busy season, but hope to have more time together next month when his season ends,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Tate thinks he’s really sweet and it’s going well so far.”
This isn’t the first time McRae has had a high-profile romance, however.
She previously dated fellow singer The Kid LAROI for over a year in 2024 and NHL player Cole Sillinger from 2021 to 2023. Her song “It’s OK I’m OK” was widely speculated to be about her athlete ex.
As for her new beau? Hughes is hot off making Olympic history after scoring the overtime goal that secured Team USA the gold medal against Canada last month.
The ice legend — who was drafted first overall to the New Jersey Devils in 2019 — will wrap up the hockey season with his team in mid-April.
Meanwhile, McRae is keeping busy with her own career.
The pop star wrapped her Miss Possessive Tour back in November and graced the cover of Rolling Stone one month later in a teeny tiny designer bikini.
McRae first hit the scene in 2016 after coming in third place on “So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation.” Since then, she signed to RCA Records in 2019 and has released three studio albums, which include viral hits like “Greedy,” “Sports Car,” “Exes” and “You Broke Me First.”
